Speaker Series: Craving Control – Understanding Food Cravings

This publication summarises a presentation given by Dr Kevin Lee and Professor Michael
Cowley in July 2024 on the importance of understanding food cravings for effective bodyweight
management. Dr Lee discussed how stress and sleep disturbance can influence food intake and
via case studies demonstrated how a personalised approach to weight management can produce
beneficial outcomes. Professor Cowley discussed the neurobiology underpinning the regulation of
bodyweight, clinical trial data supporting the use of anti-obesity medications and how weight-loss medications can interact with the neural drivers of excess food intake. This review is sponsored by Radiant Health.
