This publication summarises data in a recent review of fixed-dose combination ibuprofen/paracetamol as an alternative to opioids for the management of acute pain. In New Zealand, the fixed-dose combination ibuprofen/paracetamol 200mg/500mg Nuromol® is available for the temporary relief of pain and/or inflammation associated with headache, migraine headache, tension headache, muscular pain, cold & flu symptoms, period pain, dental pain, sinus pain, back pain and arthritic pain.
